Sundays only – Discover Tivoli’s UNESCO World Heritage sites on a private Jewish day trip from Rome. Explore Hadrian’s Villa with its dark Jewish history and Villa d’Este’s Renaissance splendor, just one hour outside the city.
Hadrian began his reign in 117 CE as a statesman and architect, then descended into paranoia. In fact, he moved the entire Roman government to his wife’s villa in Tivoli to escape Rome. Your guide will recount Hadrian’s devastating war against ancient Israel and the Bar Kokhba revolt that shaped Jewish history.
First, explore Hadrian’s Villa, an immense complex built by tens of thousands of slaves over ten years. Along the way, you will see intact mosaics and marvel at his sophisticated structures. Then, visit Villa d’Este, Cardinal d’Este’s pleasure garden with world‑famous fountains where composers Palestrina and Liszt were guests.
Both sites hold the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage title. In addition, the tour includes breathtaking countryside views and Renaissance terraces perfect for snacks. Moreover, we accommodate kosher box lunches with advance notice.
This unforgettable full‑day tour runs Sundays only (off‑season: Tuesdays–Fridays with advance booking). Entrance fees for both villas: €15–16 per person (includes guide tickets). For larger groups, vehicle rental costs apply. Private transport from Rome included.
